When a power supply is in CV mode, it acts like a steady anchor. It holds the voltage exactly at 12V, no matter how many or how few devices you plug into it, as long as you don't exceed its total 60-watt power limit.

• The Voltage stays fixed: The 12V output will not budge.
• The Current (Amps) changes: The power supply only pushes out the exact amount of electrical current that your devices demand. If you connect a small 12V LED strip that needs 1 Amp, the power supply stays at 12V and gives it 1 Amp.
• If you add a second identical strip, the power supply stays at 12V but now automatically gives 2Amps.

• The Trigger: If the unit is working too hard on a hot day, hidden in a sealed enclosure with zero airflow, or overloaded, its internal temperature rises. Once it hits a critical threshold set by the manufacturer, the internal thermal sensor triggers the OTP circuit.
• The Shutdown: The power supply will automatically shut off or severely throttle its power output to stop generating heat. Your connected lights or devices will turn off completely.
• The Recovery (Auto-recovery): Once the unit cools down safely to a normal operating temperature, the OTP circuit resets. The power supply will automatically turn back on and resume powering your equipment.
